Spotlight: One of America's most recognizable icons is the Pillsbury Doughboy, symbol of the Pillsbury flour-milling company. The company was founded in 1872 by Charles Alfred Pillsbury, born on this date in 1842, and his uncle, John Sargent Pillsbury. Poppin' Fresh's giggle was originally voiced by Paul Frees, the voice of Rocky and Bullwinkle's Boris Badenov.
